The Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for 2025 was signed today at the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.
The military cooperation plan for this year was signed, on behalf of the BiH MoD, by the Assistant Minister of Defense of BiH for International Cooperation, Zoran Šajinović, and on behalf of the Embassy of the United Kingdom in BiH, the UK Military Attaché to BiH, Colonel Edward Taylor. On the occasion of signing the plan, Šajinović expressed his satisfaction that the cooperation between BiH and the UK is continuously developing and expanding.
“We are pleased that our cooperation is so fruitful and that it is concretely contributing to the development of the capabilities of the Armed Forces of BiH and their interoperability with NATO. Not only does cooperation with the UK help us in our reforms and Euro-Atlantic integration, but it also strongly influences the improvement of our military activities, as well as the quality of life and work of members of the Armed Forces of BiH,” said Šajinović.
Taylor expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of BiH for their open and excellent relations, ‘thanks to which we are so successful in achieving our goals’.
“We are pleased to help make the Armed Forces of BiH more capable and inclusive, all with the aim of developing peace and stability throughout the region, to which the UK Government has always been committed. We will continue to develop cooperation,” he said.
The plan of bilateral military cooperation for this year includes numerous joint courses and exercises, seminars and conferences in the field of defence and military activities, the Public Relations Office of the MoD BiH announced.
